You need to find out your machines serial number from the electrical information label (rating plate) of your machine to recycle your cartridge by using this web site. The serial number may be located: back bottom or side of the machine.

If your cartridge is not listed on the pull down menu:

a) It may not be a CANON brand toner cartridge - this program ONLY accepts Canon toner cartridges.

b) It may not be a toner "cartridge" - this program does not currently accept toner, starter or developer "bottles" or other containers.

If you still do not know why your toner cartridge is not listed on the pull down menu, please inform us of "your cartridge model name", "your machine model name" and "your machine's serial #" by calling Canon at 1-800-OK-CANON or via e-mail to cleanearth@cits.canon.com.

Enter the quantity to be returned.

Select the machine model name from the pull down menu. This is the Model Name of the Equipment using your Toner Cartridge. It can be found at the front of the machine.

If you do not know why your machine is not listed on the pull down menu, please inform us of "your cartridge model name", "your machine model name" and "your machine's serial #" by calling Canon at 1-800-OK-CANON or via e-mail to cleanearth@cits.canon.com.

Enter the machine's Serial number. This can be found on the electrical information label (rating plate) of the machine. The serial number may be located on the back or side of the machine.

The system will check the validity of serial numbers and the Equipment Models entered, and display an error message if the serial number is invalid. You cannot use this system without a serial number. This is a security feature to prevent unauthorized returns.

Select either "Label" or "Bulk Shipment Box" and click the "Submit" button. If you selected a "Label", the system will prompt you to confirm the information entered. At this stage, you can either click Continue or go back to make changes in the data entered.

After you click "Submit", a UPS pre-authorized shipping label will appear. Please print the label on your printer; place the label on the shipping box, and secure / cover the entire label with clear plastic tape.

If you selected a "Bulk Shipment Box", the system will forward your request to Canon Customer Support Center, which will send you a Bulk Shipment Box by mail. After you receive the box, please completely fill it with eight cartridges before returning to Canon.

Please note:

  • Canon only authorizes the use of this site to print labels or order boxes/labels to return Canon brand cartridges.
  • You have to print one label per shipment.
  • Any unauthorized use may result in the return to sender at sender's expense.
  • Canon reserves the right to deny future access in case of unauthorized use.

KYOCERA
Kyocera’s toner containers are marked with the internationally recognized Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc (SPI) coding system indicating the materials of each plastic product.

This is particularly useful, because it enables the collection and recycling of plastic products by your local municipality or private recycling center to be carried out with greater ease.  If you don’t have this type of service in your community, Kyocera Mita America does offer an alternative.  It’s called the Kyocera Toner Container Recycling (TCR) program.

The TCR program provides a convenient disposal solution for environmentally conscious customers that want to recycle their Kyocera toner and waste containers but cannot do so within their local community.  All Kyocera manufactured toner containers and waste containers may be shipped, at the shipper's expense, to the Kyocera Mita Recycle Center in South Carolina for immediate recycling:
