Paul Keller
Chief Financial Officer
Paul’s journey to CFO of Marco is a culmination of several deliberate, albeit non-traditional, experiences inside and outside of finance.
Paul began his career working in leadership roles in operations, inventory management, and merchandise management in a founder-led, privately held organization. From there, he leveraged those experiences at Best Buy, where he held numerous finance leadership roles over a successful fourteen-year career during some of the fastest growth in their history, holding divisional CFO roles in the Business Groups and for the Retail Division.
In diversifying his business capabilities, Paul also held CFO roles at Emerson Electric, UNFI distribution (Formerly SuperValu), Blu Dot Manufacturing, and Pet Supermarket. These experiences spanned the gamut of private, PE-backed, PE-owned, small public, and large public organizations. For Paul, Marco Technologies provides a new challenge to learn and to help fuel the growth of this top-notch technology and solutions provider.
Paul does not label himself as the “finance guy” but rather views himself as a business leader first who happens to be responsible for finance, accounting, and other administrative functions. This is an important distinction for Paul as he believes true business understanding comes from direct operational involvement and a willingness to tackle hands-on work.
Outside of work and when not spending family time with his wife and their four children, you will find Paul riding one of his many human-powered bikes. Paul is an avid cyclist, riding and racing across all disciplines of road, gravel, mountain, and fat biking (yes, if you live in MN and you want to ride outside in winter, you must have a fat bike). This passion is also shared by both his wife and his son, who find every opportunity to ride together and enjoy the outdoors.
