Cisco Honors Marco’s Schock, Nelson For Outstanding Work

ST. CLOUD, MINNESOTA, OCT. 15, 2021 – Cisco, a worldwide technology leader, announced its Partner Awards for the North Central Select Region and recognized Marco employees Jered Schock and Bryce Nelson for their outstanding partnership.

Cisco named Schock the Most Strategic Account Manager of the Year for the North Central region. Schock helps organizations identify and implement solutions to promote efficiency, productivity and growth as a Marco senior technology advisor and account manager based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Nelson received Cisco’s MVP award for the region. Nelson is known for his focus on understanding the client’s needs first to effectively create a roadmap based on the client’s end goal, as a senior technology advisor for Marco. He works out of Marco’s Fargo, North Dakota, office.

“Bryce is absolutely one of our most knowledgeable technology advisors, and customers gravitate to his solution recommendations. We are proud to have him on our team, and I am not surprised at all at the designation of MVP,” said Matt Kanaskie, Marco vice president of IT sales.

Nominations for Cisco awards come from their peers in the field who then vote for a winner. Cisco has hundreds of partner sellers in its commercial spaces and presents only a handful of awards, so to receive one is an accomplishment and esteemed distinction, said Ashley Moe, Cisco Systems partner account manager.

Both Schock and Nelson are key players in Marco’s partnership with Cisco, and work hard to build relationships with clients, Kanaskie said.

“Jered has been an amazing asset and consistent contributor to Marco’s IT division growth. We are proud to have him on our team and very happy to see him get recognized for all his hard work,” Kanaskie said.

Schock began working in the technology industry 18 years ago, joining Marco in 2016. “I wanted to work for a technology company that was growing, innovative and had integrity and competence at the leadership level,” Schock said.

Schock attributes his success in part to trust and open communication. “Working with the vendors, I try to find out what makes them successful, while we are helping customers. If it’s good for the customer, the vendor and Marco, we all win – and that develops close relationships on all sides,” Schock said.

Nelson has worked in the industry for more than 20 years, joining Marco in 2013. “I saw Marco continually expanding their footprint, not only in territory but technology solutions. I wanted to work with a growth-driven organization with leadership who understood the industry and provided opportunities to expand my career.”

In recognition of Schock and Nelson’s achievements, Marco is donating $2,500 each to a nonprofit organization of their choosing.

Schock selected the Sioux Falls Hope Coalition, which focuses on narrowing the achievement gap in the Sioux Falls community by ensuring every child has a chance to attend preschool regardless of their family’s ability to pay.

Nelson chose the Lakes Area Imagination Library to receive a donation. It provides a free book every month to children from birth to age 5, who are signed up for the program and live in Becker County, Minnesota. Dolly Parton founded Imagination Library to inspire a love of reading by gifting books to children.
