It’s not like production print experts haven’t had a lot to be happy with recently. Manufacturers have introduced innovation after innovation that has made these devices more efficient, more versatile, and more environmentally friendly while consistently raising the bar on quality.

And, just to be clear, a production printer from Fujifilm’s REVORIA line is not something that we’d tell every business with sophisticated printing needs to rush out and buy. But if you’d like to know why we’re geeking out about it, or why Marco worked so hard to add Fujifilm to its strategic partnerships, let’s get in there.

Here’s why we’re geeking out over REVORIA — specifically, the PC1120

How Is the REVORIA PC1120 Different From Other Digital Production Presses?

Other high-quality production print equipment will have some of these features, but if you need speed, superb quality, ease of use, versatility, and you need to be able to switch from one print job to another very quickly, with minimal downtime — then you have to ask yourself one question:

Would you be happy or unhappy knowing that a device exists — right now — that might make your life easier?

Think fast, because what you’re about to read is probably going to push you one way or the other.

1. Impressive Toner Technology

The REVORIA uses emulsion aggregation (EA) toner that has extremely small particle sizes, which helps with reproducing small characters and thin lines. You can also produce gradients with less graininess.

This toner — which they refer to as Super EA-Eco toner — will also melt at even lower temperatures without sacrificing heat durability. And that means that the REVORIA can do what it does while using less power.

2. Expanded Color Capabilities

The REVORIA can support up to 6 colors in a single pass, with options for gold, silver, clear, white, and pink toners.

Pink? What’s so special about pink?

Well, besides the ability to match more Pantone colors, pink toner helps reproduce smoother skin tones of any hue, and it also can make purple, orange, and yellow shades more vivid. You can see the difference for yourself in this brochure

We should also mention that this device can also create high-opacity whites — a must-have for producing window clings, stickers, and labels on transparent media.

3. AI That Can Fix Common Image Issues

Taking a hint from smartphone filters — and yes, Fujifilm’s years of photography and imaging knowledge — this printer can use AI to help you identify and address common image problems.

You can use this technology to fix images that:

  • Are too dark or too bright
  • Are backlit
  • Feature undesirable sky colors

4. High-Speed Printing

120 pages per minute isn’t a world record. In fact, Fujifilm actually does have a faster one: the E1136 clocks in at 136 ppm. However, for the quality you get out of the PC1120, it’s pretty darn impressive.

Plus, its user-friendly interface makes it quick and easy to set up new jobs.

5. Versatile Media

Taller, wider, longer banners? No problem. This model has a 1.2m print capability, allowing you to produce flags, vertical calendars, and even Z-fold and concertina fold pieces.

6. Smart, Sensible Workflows

Fujifilm's Speciality Color Quick Viewer lets you preview special colors or different substrates before you print. Plus, Fujifilm’s proprietary print production workflow, XMF PressReady, allows print service providers to automate repetitive tasks, so operators can focus on more important aspects of production — saving time and reducing errors.

7. Solutions To Common Problems

Like many of its competitors, REVORIA printers offer a wide variety of trimming, folding, and other finishing options. But they can also correct paper curl and eliminate static in a variety of different media.

Why We Monitor This Type of Print Industry Innovation

An illustration of a significant business partnership with implications for a vast number of other people and businesses.

People who haven’t worked with us before will often assume that the reason we may be recommending a certain product or solution is that we have a strategic partnership with the software developer or equipment manufacturer. But it’s actually the other way around.

We pay close attention to advancements in business technology, and when someone offers something that would be of value to our clients, we pay even more attention. If those products or solutions are also known for reliability and making customers happy in the long run, we will pursue a partnership to help our clients secure the most competitive pricing. Fujifilm’s innovation is truly impressive, and while many of our clients don’t need some of the specialized capabilities of the REVORIA line, for some professional print shops and creative agencies, adding this equipment will be a game-changer.

We took a special interest in Fujifilm after the REVORIA was launched, and we finalized our partnership in September 2024. There’s no big mystery here — we’re very proud to be the first Fujifilm U.S. channel dealer authorized to sell, market, and service their full portfolio of office and production solutions, including the REVORIA line.
